Agree. AM arms in banks cannot be compared with AM companies.

Most people go from IBD to AM....especially on the investing side. Pay and bonuses for top portfolio managers would trump any MD in investment banking anyday.....

How is the WLB here compared to New York or London?

Agree with this if we are talking about average quality of analysts. But the pecking order depends on tbe bank, CS and UBS for example value their Private Bankers more than their markets ppl. JPM and DB value their markets ppl over their I bankers.

But strictly speaking 'high finance' constitutes only IB and Markets due to higher deal sizes.

DB is decent for their corporate banking. Would love to hear how you guys will rank all the BB in terms of their corporate banking arm.
