Don't be an airhead and you can get in from SIM, UOL, SUSS etc. It's that simple.

I’ve only heard of one person ever getting in from sim uol, and he’s a super outlier.
It’s already so hard for the local 3

Why do you think people cannot have both academic success and good eq? Is that how you comfort yourself?

I comfort myself with my FO job and 98th percentile pay, coming from one of these supposedly 'low class' unis in sg. Those with academic success and low eq come here to whine about not being able to enter high finance.

Not referring to you la, referring to those losers and whiners crying about how hard it is to enter high finance. Enjoy your reward winner, you deserve every cent of it.

There is 0 chance for a private uni grad breaking into FO. They don't have the same pedigree as the big 3. Private uni grads do not have 1) multiple CCAs, 2) multiple quality internshups, 3) leadership roles, 4) case competitions, 5) the banks do not go down to SIM, SUSS to network and recruit undergrads there.
It is customary practice for the big 3 unis' career centres to send a list of their top students to these BB IBs' HR team. These HR teams will then invite these top students for a networking sessions on-campus. Private uni grads lack the 5 criteria that I stated above. They have absolutely 0 chance of breaking into MBFC.

That's how BB FO roles are filled through campus recruitments. If you are applying on the banks' online portal, you're doing it wrong. There are hundreds of applicants per role. If you do not have the 5 criteria and meet the recruiters face-to-face which private unis and their grads clearly don't, you have 0 chance.
