Hi there, I believe OP was talking abt snt while you’re quoting offers based on IB. What I heard is similar to what he mentioned.
HSBC indeed pays the highest for IB so you are right on this.

In the realm of IB/SnT (and even WM/AM arguably), GS/JPM/MS pays the highest total comp (base + bonuses, bar certain divisions in other banks whom are leading league tables in certain areas/bumper years). Period.

Another outsider trying to fit in. If you were in the industry you would know that MS has always underpaid relative to even european banks, with much lower base and lower bonus.

The irony is unreal. MS still pays top dollar.

I am not sure which firm pays the best and how people think that they know. I had seen top traders changing firm quite often. So I really doubt anyone knows anything.
The only thing I know is that l feel underpaid for the fabulous job that I had done.

Totally agreed with the cringe outsider trying to pretend he's in the industry LOL.
GS has always underpaid for the longest time hence GS discount, it has changed since last year tho, time will tell if it's one-off or what.
MS is a close second with MS discount being a thing since GS upped their game.
That being said, it is totally not true that they pay lower base. JPM base is one of the highest in SG now, MS and GS is also on the higher end of street pay.

Replying to yourself eh? Cringe.
So you basically disagreed that JPM/GS/MS pays one of the highest comps only to conclude that they are "on the higher end of street pay"? Go on then, which BB(s) pays more than GS/JPM/MS for IB & SnT in terms of total comp (barring desk/coverage niches for certain banks)? Omit EBs thanks.
