Decent resume is not going to be enough to even make it past the automatic filters.
You need to be extremely outstanding to even have a sniff of a chance. I mean top of the class in an ivy league school with intership in the big names to even get an internship

Really? Why does it matter anyway? You get intership in those place not to earn money. Lots of people would pay to intern in those companies. What you should be asking is how to make an impactful impression to the people already working there in hopes that they will offer you a perm role instead of asking what's the intership allowance. That's why FT gets the plum job. Sinkies will be asking about intership allowance, time off, got OT or not, got teach me and hand hold me to do meaningful work or not while FT is making an impactful impression by working hard, working late, do things better and more efficient, don't mind doing menial work to learn, take their own initiative. Then sinkie wonder how come those company never offer them a full time job and start crying that FT took their job. Lol.
