Agree with above, its the payscale. Just comparing the offers that i got offered from MAS vs a private company doing ECM, my pay in the private company was nearly twice including comps.
Personally find that MAS does not have many exit opportunities.Not too sure about this tho

Rule of thumb is see who hires from where -> e.g. if GIC hires from IB means GIC comps IB payscale (or at least has a job security / work life balance that all in compares favourably).

high finance = jobs that pay > 10k+ straight out of university.
If you earning > 10k after 8 years in MO or BO - still not considered high finance.
Becuase after 8 years in BB IB the VP would be earning 500k already
