Seriously, stop wishing upon the stars. Pay is commensurate with your value. Pay is commensurate with the exposure you get. Pay is commensurate with the responsibility you get.

Trust me, unless you are at Sequoia-kind of VCs (which btw doesn't take fresh grads but exiters from IB/MBB), you won't be learning much or earning much. Just doing random saikang work.

Maybe bro, instead of being salty here and now, you should've worked harder when you were in school so you can break into the field where people actually want to be. Instead of pretending that VC is a big stuff when it really isn't.

Saying that “doing random saikang” jobs just shows how ignorant you are. Then they can easily hire diploma holders or O level grads to perform the jobs? Sure the pay is lower, not denying that but the hours are better. Looking at the rate definitely is not too bad. You really need some brain LOL. Random saikang jobs

You surely won't be working with high profile deals where things actually matter, instead you work with startups where forecasted MAU or ARR is generated from excel rand().

As I've said. I am only talking about your generic VCs run by random entrepreneurship bros. Those pays as low as 3k and you can check in mycareersfuture.

If you are in VC like Sequoia run by proper investment professionals, I know that pays high single digit, congratz and welcome to the table.

Speaking of this, what is the salary like for a VC analyst nowadays? in the Tier 1 shops and those in between. Currently at a BB doing IBD doing tech banking but I’ve really always been keen on the VC space. Just that the banks have been giving out aggressive pay hikes and not sure if I’m willing to make the switch. I recently got offered $150k at a local VC and turned it down, but curious to know where the rest of the street is at.
