I propose 50% paycut to all civil servants and reduce defence budget by 60%.

50% is too little. I propose to tide Singapore companies over this crisis. All public and pte sector employee should receive zero dollar wage and continue to work.

This is to ensure companies and govt can spend as little as possible on labour cost yet have the most work done.

Ney..

Lets respect our fellow private sector peeps 👌 in bountiful times, e.g. if they see 30% plus goodies, then garhman folks in all likelihood probably see half or less at 10% plus max

Hence in challenging times, lets suffer proportionately as well 👌 and let private sector peeps blaze the way as well in terms of cuts

Don't be a bloody idiot yourself as well.... Promotional/Merit Increments are permanent, paycut due to recession is temporary. Paycut can always come from MVC, once economy recovers, the MVC will revert back to 100%. If the paycut is across the whole CS, then why is that unfair to those who just got promoted? Then isn't it even more unfair to those who has hit their ceiling and has not received any increment for the past X years? What a joke...

There wont be any pay-cuts and there will still be MI. However, there is no mid year bonus. Unlikely to have year end bonus too.

The decision regarding mid year bonus has not been finalised. It is still under intense debate. If you don't have verified information you don't come here and talk cock.

There wont be any paycut. I already check with my HR. We will still receive our yearly increment.

There is no paycut. I just check with my HR. We will still receive our yearly increment as per normal.

Hypothetically, if there really is a pay cut coming up in June, would HR know at this point (or be allowed to release the information), before a press release is made?

Anyway, I find this discussion kinda pointless… personally, I'll just assume the worst for now. If no pay cut, great! If it happens… well, there've been warning signs, I guess. Not like we can do much about this.
