Advice on career (property mgt vs IT)
Hi. I have been recently lost over my career decision over the past few years after graduating from NTU mechanical engineering. The market then was pretty bad and I landed a sales role which I regret. I moved into property managing and now I'm doubting the viability in the long term if I hope to make a decent amount per year (more than 60k before I hit 30 years old, currently 26). My current package with AWS and VB is about 45k.
Recently, there is an opening for an IT role that is looking for people with no experience in the IT industry with any discipline falling under STEMs. The package is definitely attractive and I have thoughts on venturing in.

Would it better if I stayed in the property industry or should I try to get into this programme?

IT role eh. I will not want to risk my brain cells if I am not IT trained. Today's IT speaks of not jus microsoft office but coding. I've a friend who graduated same as you, is in the DSTA but as a coder. C++ all these are like basics. Yes, decent pay, graduated from SIT (those uni in polys), FCH
You've never considered petroleum companies? Or lab analyst?
