For local U grads, how well are civil servants paid compared with the private sector
In terms of salary, roughly what percentile would civil servants be at for local uni grads ( NUS/ NTU/ SMU)? Is 70th percentile a good estimate?

Nowadays we have many fresh grads here in this forum. I will suggest that you submit an application, get an offer first and provide a figure for us to advise. If not there is really no point asking such generic qn which leads to nowhere.

This is very general, but civil servants are at around the 65-70th percentile among local uni grads. If you take into account the entire workforce (incl. non-uni grads), civil servants are at around the 85-90th percentile. Above civil servants are doctors, lawyers, bankers, management consultants and some MNCs.

This question is so vague, you should read more of this forum to get a sensing. But here are some figures, coming from a business grad:
Public service range: 3k - 5k (see below)
Ministry: 3.5 - 4.5k
SB: 3k - 5k
Private sector range: 2.5k - 13k (see below)
Mid-tier (non big 4) audit firms 2.5-2.7k
Direct hires in banks 3.3-3.5k
Management Associate Programmes 3.8 - 5.5k
Consulting 6-7k
Investment Banking 9-12k
The above figures are for fresh grads from local uni, based on published figures and also general sensing from friends and career office.
