Career in pre-school education
Hi all,
Does anyone here know of someone who works as a teacher in the pre-school education sector?
I'm currently studying an art-related course in a private school here, and from what I see, it's going to be very hard to even survive or find a job in this sector when I graduate, and I don't want to go back to working as an admin guy again.
I'm thinking of studying and getting the Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education [CECCE] when I graduate, but I wonder how feasible that is. Am already quite broke.
Another obstacle is that I'm a guy and there are few male pre-school teachers.
My plan is to be a full-time pre-school teacher and continue improving myself in my arts skills and gradually build up a portfolio and slowly take on small freelance projects and go from there.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Yon

my wife was a pre-sch teacher before, and the pay is nothing more than $2k for all her colleagues with DPT.
