So unless you have
1. Big contribution in NS
2. FCH / perfect GPA from NTU / NUS
3. Insane resume, FAANG-like
don't even bother. they mass spam to give the idea that they are mass hiring / still hiring but the reality is that they handpick people and ask these people to join, they don't ever accept anyone who applies directly.

Haha my friend is senior in govtech he joined during the mass recruitment like 8 years sgi
He basically told me now that alot of fresh grad want to join govtech for the $ and brand.
The seniors feels threatened if the new candidate will outperform them.
So they are hiring people who they can control, manipulate to do the work. To secure their senior position
Alot of seniors in govtech are fearful those faang like God like programmer skill come in and promoted fast track.
So they hire people who "can do" but don't want to be too good fch result etc. Cause hire a 2nd Lowrr the starting pay less and etc.
People think you FCH, you are entitoed for job meh. Fch are too expensive for hire la.
Alot of fch / master / harvard alumni etc in govtech.
Dont need you to come in and take over.

2. For people with less than 3 years experience - expect slow progression if you are not in a "fast track" management/talent program. For experienced hires, expect promotions to be given to people with connections or "parachuted" from SAF, etc. That said, if you are in one of these groups, apply immediately (this is a plus point for you).
lol good luck

This couldnt be further from the truth. they dont really care about NS as its not really relevant to tech. At the end of the day, its about your tech skills and how much you can contribute. And also passion for serving public good is also a factor.

yet verified reviews on nodeflair says otherwise

when you submit your review you need to show proof that you actually work there, it's done through a anonymous channel ( call, zoom, etc )
do you actually know how govtech works at all or you just trying to stir BS and try to hide the fact that people's SAF background matters in this company?
no offence bro like shouldn't we share the truth here? i dont know u i couldnt care less lol but the fact is that what u did in army matters in govtech whether u like it or not

i see, was not aware of that from nodeflair. honestly then why would they still show "anonymous" instead of like "verified" lol seems like a poor design choice.
im all for more transparency and allowing ppl to have more symmetric information, as someone literally in MBC right now, i have yet to hear anyone bring up anything about NS, nor were they regulars in the SAF prior to their stint in GT (prior public servants maybe, but not regulars).
what matters more is relevant background and sound technical competency. atb.

dont know about your opinion on the site, still doesnt change the fact that the reviews came from actual employees of said company
anyway your opinion is your opinion, same for the reviews. worth sharing all of them to give everyone a fair point of view instead of trying to push your own opinion as the truth.
good luck.
