Default SIA executive role

Hi everyone, some background about myself, I have been working full-time after graduating with 2nd upper degree for about 1 year and a half and recently applied for an corporate executive role with SIA (not the SIA SEP though).

The interview process was over fairly quickly, followed by a 2 hour online assessment.

Fast forward 1-2 weeks later, things are looking optimistic according to the HR, but unsure if HR will actually revise the job offer salary/benefits based on my existing work experience.

I have already tried searching around this forum and Glassdoor for salary figures, but they seem to be either outdated or indicative of execs with many years of experience.

Thus, any peeps here care to share what the rough monthly pay like for entry level fresh grad exec roles with SIA? And maybe for mid-career professionals who have entered SIA, how are they being mapped into the SIA job grading?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

fresh grad w/o exp:low 3k. yearly increment <5%. In my POV, the free air tickets is worth it only if u r married with children.

Good branding on CV though. depends on what u're looking for.

High attrition rate at the exec level (many who were on sep left). According to my friend inside, in some teams, there were 3-4 exec who were on notice period. low rate for assoc

A couple of years ago, a fresh grad starts off at $2.9k (a few hundred dollars more for NS). Increment is around 5% pa. Your experience would put you in the range of $3.4k.

Beware that promotion in the firm is slow unless you are a scholar. Just take a look at LinkedIn profiles of current employees. Can be stuck in an executive role for many years with low increment. Flight ticket benefit not really worth it unless you are travelling on premium cabin classes.

Exec (Yr 1-4) > Snr Exec (Year 4-9 years) > Manager (Yr 9-15) > Snr Manager (Yr 15-21) > VP (Yr 21 onwards)

Wow thanks everyone who replied, very insightful stuff. Sounds like their Top Grad Employer ranking is more based on brand name? The starting pay plus slow progression really sounds quite siong....

Also I heard that the bonus is normally 2mths for on-target perf, anyone can confirm?

Default Sia

I went through the same route as you back in 2017/2018. Applied for a role in SIA as an AO. Was called to attend the interview at Airline House in Dec'17. First round was with a panel of interviewers followed by a 1 hr (iirc) essay. There was a selection of questions to choose from. All are on current affairs.

Then 2nd round was in Feb'18 which consisted of a 2hr (iirc) online test in the morning with a final interview with the MD after lunch. I was genuinely puzzled by the inactivity between Dec'17 and Feb'18 though. Could be that their 1st choice candidate backed out though.

To cut a long story short, they offered me 4.5k which I had passed. I negotiated to 5.5k which they delibrated for 2-3 days before informing me they can't meet. I took up another better paying job offer after that.

Male NTU grad with 2 years of working exp (non SQ related).
