PCP Conversion Programme

Has anyone enrolled into the PCP (Professional conversion programme) ?

Were you able to secure a job with a reasonable salary (not huge drop from last drawn) ?

Following this with interest. Is it possible to not get any interviews? Technically PCP is for mid-careerists who want to switch careers, so everyone should be at level playing field since everyone has some working experience, but just not the relevant experience or knowledge. Wonder how employers will shortlist candidates then?

Yea it is possible to not get interviews. The terms of the PCP states that after you submit resume, the partner companies need to express interest in hiring you before you can enrol in the PCP.

So it is still subjected to employers. Not a sure thing...I also not sure how they shortlist, maybe on salary? Since the govt subsidise up to 4k i think, so if someone ask too high they may not get?

Yes well i suppose realistically employers would be looking at the expected salary and doing their calculations as well. I wouldn't begrudge them for doing that, as every business aims to reduce costs as much as possible. I just hope that they evaluate candidates fairly on factors like attitude, aptitude and so on. If they were to still look for relevant experience, it's basically bringing candidates back to square one because if the candidate has relevant experience, this wouldn't even be called a career switch.
