If it was inflated and the title was just for the sake of it why would there be accompanying salary increments - why would OCBC give a salary increment from 4.6k to 6k+ just to inflate their title?
Logic...

Usually GTP graduates reach AVP level around 2 to 3 years after M6 based on linkedin, and their salary around there is actually quite good given that they only have 4 to 5 years of experience.
Even if this is inflated, at least the salary commensurates the title of the position.

Are you an existing or a former OCBC staff even? Clearly you got the ranks of OCBC wrong. OCBC splits their AVPs and VPs ranks into several more levels; i.e. AVP5 and AVP4, and VP3 and VP2.

not the original poster but just chiming in for some1 with several sources in OCBC - there are substantial differences in pay between AVP5 and AVP4, and between VP3 and VP2 as well. Don't be so gullible & take Glassdoor's figures of a AVP pay at face value please lol.

MA here.
it's to make sure MAs don't leave the bank, after so much resources has been spent on our training and whatnot.
and yes, anyway the M rank is just a rank, doesn't mean ****, doesn't mean you are actually managing anyone other than yourself.
