I am from 2009 MAE NTU without honors (almost 3rd class)
Graduate pay is $2,300 in 2009
Now is >$8,000 in 2018

Unregistered 04-07-2018 12:30 PM

Graduate in 2017 NYP Diploma in Electronics,Computer and Commmunication engineering.
First Job SME Technical Specialist :1800 +VB+AWS
Second Job MNC Test Technician:2000+QB+AWS (serving notice period)
Third Job SME Junior Electrical,Production engineer(550-600staff company):2200(Increment after 6 month probation depends on performance)+VB+AWS (Start work on 16 July 2018)

Anybody give me guidance about my career progression? Is that consider okay?

I am planning in future taking nus or ntu part time degree about software engineering or computer science.Since so far many people told me this field more opportunities. So far I think my programming skills consider above average. My poly result is 3.74/4.0 .

Usually anybody know that for engineers can get roughly how many months of bonus not include AWS in SME or MNC?

Are you still an engineer or has gone into management now? Don’t think an engineer doing design work can earn $21.5k a month.

Unregistered 09-07-2018 07:18 AM

I’m a specialist engineer who oversees a suite of projects in the region now.

If using annual package / 12, it will be as follows (figures is not exact but just close estimate). As compared to the other post, mine is way below.

This is actually based on the actual cash collected on that year. (Performance bonus for previous year collected in the next year will be included in the next year numbers). Exclude CPF contributions.

2009 - NA (start work Dec)
2010 - $2,583
2011 - $3,092
2012 - $4,163
2013 - $4,592
2014 - $5,185
2015 - $6,688
2016 - $8,563
2017 - $10,286
2018 - $11,398 (expected for 2018)
