neither job will lead u to the PE. Suggest you join private (the bigger and established ones) to clock relevant exp first. The JTC position is meant to fix their in-house issues. If you are looking to learn, it definetly wont suit you.

However, I知 concerned that the design of drains, sewers and roads would not be sufficient experience for me to qualify as a Professional Engineer, which is the aim of my career switch. Hence, I was hoping to get some advice from people in the industry on this as well as your opinion on which would be a better organisation to join. Thanks in advance! |

Orh. Actually you can find it in jobstreet. The roles/responsibility does not divert too much from it.
Basically, if there is a project, you will be tasked to work with end user to set the requirement. Followed by looking for vendor. Compare and shortlist, then send to management for approval.
That's just one of the job scope.
