is ESG a lot easier to get in compared to EDB and MAS?

how much higher is the pay?

Roughly 25% more? Heard selection process for ESG is not as stringent as compared to EDB & MAS, which can be crazily intense

is the 25% referring to entry level positions such as the management associate program? what about progression and future salary?

also, I heard ESG has a younger start up like culture as opposed to EDB and MAS which has more scholars and a bit more dull. does ESG working with businesses give it better exit opportunities?

sorry for the questions, graduating next year and quite curious about job prospects

Pretty sure MAS & EDB have much better exit opportunities... both organisations are internationally recognized and sought after by private sector. Considered the pinnacle of sg govt service.

It is difficult to deny that both organisations are internationally recognised and sought after by private sector, given their daily work revolves around heavy-weights such as big banks and MNCs. On the other hand, ESG works with local SMEs, helping them grow/expand and possibly internationalise.

Wouldn't want to point fingers and compare which one is better, it really depends on the individual and where his/her passion lie - do you like crunching numbers in the financial sector? or perhaps you enjoy engaging stakeholders and getting your hands dirty?

While money/prestige is important, don't chase something for the sake of it. If you're passionate about what you do, everything else will naturally follow. Cheers!

the interview was very relaxed, being the final round they just want to see your behavioural fit. the assessment centre was fair and similar to most.

If by “pinnacle” you mean the branch with qualified and polished grads from the top to the bottom. I would say no govt service will evert come close to the prestige of MTI’s
Economist track.

Even S$NEER policy augmentations are executed by economists from MTI instead of MAS’ own graduate track, this is pretty much peak level public service.

For the undergraduate scholarship, bond says its 2-5 years. Such a large gap, what are the contingencies behind the bond length? Also, what are the contingencies behind approval of the MA?

Could be problem with my level of comprehension. But what contingencies are you referring to?
