Default AVP role in DBS T&M

Hi, is there anyone that knows what is the typical range for base pay and bonus for a AVP Sales role in DBS treasury and markets? I may potentially go there, depending on offer (no figures given to me so far).

So far I’ve been trying to paint a story where my career was accelerated and I’ve done assignments normally performed by those with much more experience. So while I lose in the quantitative “years of experience”, I do have the “actual experience”.

Does that make sense? In less than 2 years I’ve done things where even those with 20 years might not be familiar with.
Interviewers are not dumb so they will tell you to peddle the bs somewhere else.

I believe the HR might ask for your pay slips, CPF statements, bank statements etc to confirm your last drawn pay.

They may also perform a reference check to find out why your last drawn pay is not aligned to your years of experience in the industry.

They may or may not match it based on the findings above.

Some companies also follow an internal equity model of salary offer where they peg your offer to another internal employee with similar YOE and job scope.

Pay so high then don't need to leave.

If a program hire hops somewhere else, probably will be bumped back to normal direct hire range right?

It depends on the needs of the hiring bank as well as the calibre of the candidate. Is difficult to provide you with a sure answer in this instance. If you are from program with existing bank no point to hop unless from a local bank to a BB bank. However, is a mountain to conquer unless you are able to find favour. Generally the latter prefers to hire from another BB bank for obvious reasons.

Sorry to interrupt. But what would these "obvious reasons" be? Have read that it's harder to go from local to BB but not exactly sure why.

Let me use sport as an analogy to provide for clearer explainations. Let say you have top sports persons representing a nation competing for glory. To get called to join the national team is already an achievement as you are already amongst the nation's best. However in the national team, vast majority will be asked to compete at SEA games, with a much smaller number taking part in Asian/commonwealth games and rare few able to compete at Olympic level. You see to get to work for any of the three big local banks is a testimony of a candidate's quality. BB banks' staff are of a higher level of quality given its highly selective criteria. Do not be disheartened just keep improving and one day you may be there.
