7-8 years means you are probably likely due for VP3 in the next 1-4 years depending how good you are.
AVP4 should yield about 90k to 130k on annual basis (Basic + Bonus).
If we are focusing your context, I will guestimate 90-110k range.

Wondering if promotion in OCBC BO/MO guaranteed as long as you have worked there for many years. Heard of stories of many people stuck at AVP levels as well because there are just way too many headcounts in the team/department.

Promotion is guaranteed up to AVP in local banks. They have a culture of no firing so you can likely cruise at AVP without getting retrenched.

Can I clarify if this is true? Any fresh entry will be guaranteed a banking career and promotion up till AVP without any risk of retrenchment? Even during Covid now also safe from it? Any pay cut? What is the salary ceiling for this "safe path"?

Dont be a clown pls..no such thing as guarantee la.. if your dept cant justify ur headcount, then u will be transferred to another dept (often not ur choice) la.. if no other dept wants you, then byebye lor.
If ur performance sucks, dont even mention promotion.. increment also dont have la. Some poor performing business units dont even have increment this year..
