At 8 yoe, that is very decent. Looking for your next move soon maybe can bump to 12k?

Any experienced Sifus mind sharing some career advices?
i) Am I underpaid based on market rate?
ii) Should I stay on first or hop to another bank?
YOE:
- 4 years of exp in big4 audit (banking client), left as Year 2 Senior
- 1 year Contract Accountant
- 6month (on going) in a foreign bank working under control department
Salary close to but yet to hit $5k. Aiming to pivot into Risk management of Bank and currently self study for FRM exam.

What do RMs make? Base and comms?
I see many rms sell universal life, now driving big cars and fancy cars

RMs for what? Mass retail like selling cc, banccasurance and invesments to retail ppl like u and me -> commissions driven, the sky is ur limit
SME/corporate/private banking RM -> usually fixed base + commissions which may vary based on individual/team/market desk performance
How much exactly do they earn? I don’t have an ans esp for retail since it’s like insurance agent depends on how much clients/aum they bring in. For the rest, i guess the base can range anywhere from 6k as a junior RM and goes up from there?
