Citi's bonus is rubbish lol. Way lower than DBS. Can go Glassdoor to check if you want.

Yours is $1500 per year?

His figures are questionable, don't sweat! Your progression is more factual trust us

Honestly 8k after 8 years of exp is a bit low, especially since you joined the graduate program. Should be at the highest band of AVP or at junior VP drawing 10k minimum if you are average.

If you talking about in operations, pure trading support settlements etc, I think only your father's bank pay 10k for fresh VP or final tier AVP.... Lol

Heard of salary ceiling, son? There are many who are stuck at AVP drawing >10k. Simply by YOE and increment. For a proxy, foreign banks associate level in ops salary ceiling alr 12k-14k. Anyhoo, with 8 YOE you really should be commanding more than 8k, esp since you entered the grad program.

Is citibank’s bonus really that bad? Any idea what is it like for operations like settlements? I heard that local bank can pay up to 3-5months for ops.
Is it common practice for banks to not pay AWS now?

All 3 local banks don't pay aws. Some foreign banks do though they are not the majority. And no way ops gets 5 months bonus. In a good year 3 months is possible with promotion, but ops in general has poorer bonuses, increments, progression and prospects than FO/MO.
