Even after 5 years of experience at GS in ops, there's a 'Senior Associate' position for people whom they are not ready to promote to VP. Even if you get promoted to VP then, is ur pay seriously going to up by 50% from 6k to 9k for ops???????? For local bank FO VP, your pay would be 10-11k after 2 years as AVP. Not to mention your bonus is typically more than 4 months in FO role. Seriously, just go fk yourself.
Not my fault local bank FO earns close to local bank BO/MO (esp those who hail from graduate programmes).

Fk off and whine somewhere else.

Are you a retard? Where did I say they’re the same? In fact, I said they’re vastly different. Your reply is something expected of someone who has nothing else to say. Wasting my time on you imbecile.

Example:

UOB (MA) Ops - 1st year 4.3k
After 2 years, promoted to next pay grade at 5k minimum.
After another 2 years, promoted to next pay grade at 6k-6.5k minimum.
1 year later, as I have phrased it, would be "close to" 7k.

If you're OP, how's bonus given that you're earning a good 50% less in base as compared to peers in BBs/international banks?
Feel better about yourself, imbecile.

Dont think you can reach 7k base in local banks for Ops in 5 years. 7k for top 25%, more likely 5.5k to 6k for average. UOB pays the worse among 3 local banks.

UOB MA starts at 4400. After 2 years, it is 5k which means 6% per year. If you do the calculation, it should be around 6k after 5years.

It's incorrect to make such an assumption. Although increment is at 6%, their pay is tied to a certain grade/rank. Every 2-3 years, they get promoted to the next grade, which leads to a significant pay raise.

I'm not from UOB MA, but that's the case for most MA programmes.
