Btw, local bank FO is on average 4-6 months bonus for M&A, ECM, and even corp banking. Sharing it to you so you can keep dreaming.

Calm down kiddo. If you actually spend the time to read what I wrote, you would have found out that although I was shocked at the base, I wanted to find out how bonuses were to gauge total comp.
16-18 months package @ 7k base is still pretty low for FO w 5 YOE nonetheless. I dream bigger.

Jesus Christ, what kind of comp set are you even using. Keep dreaming.

I'm in a local bank FO role and like the others who have mentioned in this forum, the range is about $7-8k for someone with 5 years of experience. Just go and find out on Glassdoor lah s://.glassdoor.sg/Salaries/assistant-vice-president-salary-SRCH_KO0,24.htm
BB MO/BO pays would be similar to local banks FO in the first few years but the growth for the latter is much faster, not to mention it's harder to be promoted to a VP role and above in MO/ BO.

How long does it take for local bank FO to move to a VP role on average then?

And yes, kiddo. You got a problem with that? Grow up ffs.

Hi, I work in a BB MO and my pay started out at 4.5k and after 4 years, I'm drawing only about 6k (i'm average performer and there's not much distinction between me or the top performer). In local banks, it's the same - you take longer to get promoted especially from Associate to AVP and from AVP to VP because there simply isn't enough headcount for a cost centre. So, to reach 7 base in 5 years in local bank MO/BO, you've gotta be really lucky.

3 years on average. Even then, your base is probably low teens...that's starting salary of IBD analysts in MS/Citi/JPM/CS/GS/BoFA

Which BB? That’s really low. At most top-tier BBs you would be at the associate/senior associate level probably verging on 7k-8k, no?

You mean it takes 3 years to move from AVP to VP? That’s 8 years of experience to make VP.
Have seen many ppl at the VP level in BO/MO w 8 years under their belt.

Yup. That's an average performer. The difference is most people in local bank FO gets promoted to VP (almost guaranteed) and their VP pay is 100% higher than the BO/MO VP pay.
In local bank BO/MO, only the lucky 1-2 gets promoted to VP because you tend to have 1-2 VPs to a junior base of between 5-10 analysts/ associates. If none of the VPs leave, you will be stuck at the associate level and many leave. I've seen that too often a time with my colleagues in the BO/MO. And these VPs will be stuck at VP level for a really really long time.
