Back office in banks has always been off-shore work.

There's a reason why people constantly joke about how if u work in tech at bank = you're trash because their tech is really hot garbage with lots of bugs and always have upkeep time problem, frequent disruptions etc.

what is the progression like? Starting from a teller role, frontline customer service role. Lowest position. How long to become an Analyst?

what is the process, applied for AVP and attended 3 interviews => HR verbally mentioned proceeding to offer stage during final interview => DBS portal invited me to submit required docs => waiting for 9 days already, did not mention anything about salary negotiation, or anything else

Means they found someone more suitable than you but at the same time still waiting for the other person to accept offer. You are second choice
