Why not? So are you saying that if local banks make an offer, it will be lesser than your current drawn salary? Anyone experienced this?

Yes, 99.9% of the time for sure. Although bonus may make up for it.

If you switch from a foreign bank to a local bank then yes, there's a high risk. In other cases, it depends, but I wouldn't say it's 99.9%.
I got my offer (for an AVP role) last year, it was more than my salary back then but I expected a bigger hike, so I rejected it. In the end, I got a better deal from somewhere else.

- how much % hike did the local bank give?
- the “somewhere else” -> is this another local bank? Or foreign?
- how much % hike did that new place give you?
- were you at least offered 12k?

Anyone can advise how long would dbs HR take to contact you after interview with hiring managers? Experienced hire. Would they still contact you if your current drawn base salary is above the range? Status shows under consideration in the portal.

how long does HR contact you after hiring manager interview? it really depends on the role, the manager, the timing, etc. Usually 1-2 weeks would be the industry standard.
Would they still contact you if your current drawn base salary is above the range? -> so the HR already know of your current base salary and schedule interview with manager? if yes, then what are you concerned about?

I have not spoken to HR. First interview was with hiring managers and they asked for my current drawn salary, which I know is above the range (from reading all the forums) for an AVP. So my concern is, as a hiring manager, would they straight away tell the HR to not shortlist a candidate because of current draw salary too high?
