I'm a AHP, I won't go into details which specific vocation in case someone I know is reading this thread. To speak the truth, I don't wish to do what I'm doing anymore. Somehow maybe I'm not suited for this role, job mismatch? Imposter syndrome? I tried so hard for the first few years, excelled and then last 2 years performance just came crashing down. Maybe I don't deserve to be here anymore.. I thought of moving on to administrative roles within the cluster but I'm not sure whether it will work out as I don't have any prior experience.

Anyone knows whether the job grade for admin roles and AHP are the same? how about salary range, are they the same as well? From what I understand, for Singhealth AHP, all AHP shares the same job grade, just that pharmacists have a slightly higher salary range. Nurses have an entirely different job grade and salary range. Why I'm asking is because I plan to switch from AHP to admin, so I'm not sure at my current AHP job grade, will I be able to map to the same admin job grade. Thank you!

Not necessarily. Depends what admin role you are applying for, it may not be equivalent.

It would appear that most people within the public health industry at this role is with at least 10-15 years experience.

Would private going into public be a shortcut?

If you go from private into public, you should expect some salary increment if you have relevant experience, if public hospital going into another public hospital, even if you resign and apply to another healthcare hospital or a lateral transfer within the clusters, no pay increment.

Some of the people I know from clinical roles have pivoted well to admin roles. You should give it a shot.

Public to public, lateral transfer, they will still give you a slight bump. Nothing too ridiculous, but still will acknowledge your years of service. Speaking from experience.

Yes, I think it might be a 'shortcut', because from if one were to stay purely in healthcare from entry-level (JG11), it might take one about that long to reach AD (JG17). Assuming 2-3yrs between each promo, you'd be on the higher end of 15 yrs.

Due to differing information, can I confirm again if you jump from one healthcare cluster to another, such as from Singhealth to NUHS, there will be no pay increment or change in job grade?

Thank you.

Typically no changes. Unless it's an entirely different track altogether (e.g. if you are changing from nursing to admin, or AHP to admin etc.), or in exceptional circumstances. Otherwise the vast majority of cases should not have any changes.
