what is the difference between percentage and fixed quantum.

seems like fixed quatum is losing out as an assistant manager will only get $90 while on percentage terms will be in the $1XX

this disparity between clusters is so clear

I feel that it is better to get percentage than fixed quantum, especially if your base salary is high. For instance, a $200 fixed quantum for a $3000 looks like a reasonable increment, but if your base salary is $8000, a $200 is considered quite little.

IIRC, for my cluster, JG17 onwards doesnt have a percentage increment, only fixed quantum. I suppose cos these group of ppl salary are already very high, imagine giving them a percentage increment, how much money the hospital needs to cough out.

I previously heard that when my boss hit ceiling, management gives her awards, since salary wise, they can no longer offer her a good compensation.

One of my colleague recently got promoted from JG 12 to JG 13, took her 10 long years.

Hearing all this makes me feel hopeless about staying in healthcare.

Pls don't bother especially if it's self-funded. Don't waste your time and money. Only do it if the hospital sponsor you but think twice as you will be bonded for 4 years and no guarantee you will be promoted after you finish your studies.

Which cluster do not have fixed quantum for increment? Does anyone know?

Singhealth adopt percentage plus fixed quantum. Eg 2.6% +$50. The $50 is the same for all geade

$90 for which grading? If you earn $6000, isn't this $90 increment peanuts?! How to fight inflation?
