I took a big pay cut to work at a startup company for my most recent job, so my last drawn salary will be low.
May I ask what will be the estimated salary and JG?
Will HR lowball me based on my last drawn salary or YOE?
Thank you!

I indicated expected $5k
HR called to clarify on the expected salary after completing all rounds of interview, but there is still no news yet. She could have told me if they are unable to meet right?

No opportunity for promotion at all. My bosses doesnt give a damn about out progression. They said it's not the number of years that matter, they will only promote people when they deemed you deserved it. Unfortunately in my section, it is a very flat hierarchy. Less than ten pax in the section. My starting pay was only $3K plus as JG13 ten years ago, my pay started off at the very bottom of the salary range. Hence ten years later in 2025, my pay only increase by $2K even with 2 salary enhancement and a couple of A grades over the years.
