They do alot of mundane caregiver work
AHPs deserve higher pay than nurses.
I reckon they are at APN level of nurses

Nurses got ite, diploma, degeee and masters level.
Masters are rare, usually APN.
Most are still diploma and ite levels.
Whereas for AHP the minimal is degree for most, and masters for some

I would say that employment trends have evolved...qualifications aren't really the only thing employers are looking at anymore (not that they're unimportant, of course).
It's actually just a very simple issue of demand. When the nursing manpower has become dangerously low, the industry has no choice but to just make the career more attractive to others, especially for locals.
You imagine if the number of firefighters, police officers or military personnel dwindle to a new low. Wouldn't the government panic?
So the answer is simple - wait for the AHP manpower to become super tight - when most people have given up on the career or fresh grads no longer see the career as an ideal choice, then tada~ if you have managed to endure long enough, you'll get to experience some improvements
It's just the uncertainty of that happening which makes people give up lol

That's right.. in my section.. everyone is degree, some even have Masters. My boss is phd. Every year in the department at least one to two staff are sent for further studies, come back minimum is masters.

Pte sector pays better and fewer patients to handle.
Rich patients tend to be more patient, understanding and nicer.

You take Masters come back not confirmed will get promoted, even if you get promoted, pay increment is only a few hundred dollars.

I’m a new employee in NUHS, AH11. Saw some people posted that NUHS yearly increment is in fixed quantum and the increment is only $130 for JG11. Can someone verify if this info is true??
