Hi i just got offered a role in the lab on a 2 year contract. Third party recruiter mentioned it is standard in PHI whereby new hires are hired on this basis before being offered permanent role after 2 years.
HR mentioned that after 2 years or before the 2 year mark there will be a discussion with all parties to decide continuining or converting. May I know how true is this for lab personnel on contracts and if it is highly unlikely of conversion to permanent role.

was from reverse i.e. singhealth --> cpf. was an Exec in sh and given Mgr in cpfb

Lab should be quite easy cos always short of manpower. this is for which section?

lies. the current lab workload across phi, it's a mircale if u can last 2 years.
75% leave before the first year mark.
don't trust the recruiter.

Haha true. Lab environment is very toxic, high turnover rate, youngsters leave within 2 years, some within months.
