If it’s not broken why fix?
Even AHP jobs also going to foreigners.. going down the same route as nursing.. our healthcare system is gone case.

Attrition rate is bad? They can always still get new hires to replace your position. Because your daily work is too easily to get replacement.
Not really. Some AHPs are unable to replace. They have to resort to hiring FTs from malaysia and other countries.

Its becoming like nursing.
If using foreigners is the solution, they wouldnt have angel plan.

Locals are still needed, no matter how much you think it can be solved by hiring foreigners.

Your repsonse is learned helplessness and is the worst.

Sharing on forum is a way to increase awareness and fight for change.

Nurses are getting more because of traction on social media about "claps" as reward.

You are the type who will keep leaving because you have no passion, no talent, no drive to change. Go drive your PHV.

Hearsay the turnover rate for pharmacist (esp inpatient) is bad and every year got many ppl resign after their bond ends. Some of my friends who are bonded asked if private would buy them out but tbh I not in a position to advise cause they did signed the bond and enjoyed the perks of being a scholar while I was thinking about how to pay for tuition fee etc as a normal student.

Now the tide has turned and it’s their turn to think about their long term career plans after serving their bond. My advise is to think carefully before joining healthcare and think extra hard if there is a bond involve.

Pharmacists are quite poor thing. Pharmacy course needs straight A to get in, yet their pay is only slightly higher than AHP, maybe just a few hundreds more. I know quite a few pharmacists left PHI and went into regulatory work, pharma companies etc.

Yeah I agree. Cause most of them were unable to get into the more competitive med or dentistry course. Regardless of which I think MOH should increase pharmacist compensation because it’s a real challenging course. I believe it’s among the top 10 toughest course along side medicine. But I do acknowledge that tough course doesn’t equal to higher pay but it’s should at least correlate somewhat.

If not I do see the profession facing a slow death with the rise of AI and influx of foreigners to replace locals. Btw Malaysia trained grad can become a pharmacist in sg with a period of training. Pretty sure they are happy to take the pay due to the strong conversion. But local grads not so sure…
