Nervous during interview
I always get nervous during the first min of interview and i tend to stutter/tremble when i speak. After 1-2mins later, im back to my normal self. Do anyone of you experience this? Advices please? This has been a hindrance for the past 1 year and i have yet gotten any job offers but several interviews...

I will suggest practicing your opening act in front of a mirror daily for multiple times. Something simple like, Hi, my name is ____ and it is my pleasure to meet you. / thank you for taking your time out to interview me.
Hope that helps. Practice makes perfect!

Thank you! Whenever the spotlight is on me, i’ll get nervous and feel theres an adrenaline rush. I have finally decided to join toast masters to enhance my public speaking skills.

I found that keeping silent for first 30 seconds helped to reduce my stutter by 50%

Go into the interview without the mindset of getting the "job" but rather, to understand the job and making new friends/ connections.
If possible, try to reduce the formality of the atmosphere. I find that if I go into an interview thinking that I am meeting a friend and not getting a job, I am a lot less nervous.
Also, there are millions of jobs out there. One will fit you. Don't fit yourself into the job but try to find a job that will compliment you. That way you will not be so pressured to "please" the interviewers. If you have an extremely hard time pleasing the interviewers, and they turn out to be your superior, good luck. Whereas if they are friendly and chill and turn out to be your superiors, you're in luck.
Good luck

Going on top the earlier poster, you need to put yourself in a mindset that the company needs you more than you need them. Go into the interview in a position where you are also interviewing them if they deserve to have your services. This will least help you view this as an equal opportunity for both parties.
Happy CNY.

If after 1-2 min you tend to be normal but are still not getting second interviews/offers, I really don't think it's due to your nerves that you are striking out. Unless the job you are applying for requires nerves of steel or lots of posturing during client meetings, most interviewers will understand and accept 1-2 mins of nerves. You may want to relook the content of your answers.
But worse comes to worst, just apologise for the tremble in your voice and blame air-conditioning in the waiting area. =p

I am the same. Talk to a doctor and get prescription for Proponolol (Beta blockers). It's no big deal and really helped with my interview anxiety, and I was completely normal during high stress interview. You only take it the day of.
