Fresh ACCA graduate with no ZERO experience
Hi everyone, I'm new here and am sorry to bombard you with questions with my very first post.
As above, I'm 24 years old this year. I screwed up my studies in the past(blame on my immaturity and ignorance on the importance of education) but after some serious self-reflection, i entered the course full-time in Kaplan via Mature Student Entry Route. I managed to get full "A's for all 14 exams.
- Should I spam my resumes to respective employers and consent to the one with the best career prospects? Should I try BIG 4 even though the chances are almost zero? I don't mind starting from scratch and I know I have to.
- Is there, in any event, to any extent, that my ZERO experience can be compensated by my grades? Although I really doubt so..
Thank you so much for your valuable time!
(P.S. I was awarded BSc (1st Class) in Applied Accounting from OBU but I guess this is immaterial and not really beneficial to me.)

U had done well with the ACCA, and considering your age, its still reasonable having zero experience.
Make sure u had a polished resume, highlighting ur ACCA grades, that degree also worth mentioning. If u secured an interview, u can tell them how u change from screwing up early in education into scoring well on ACCA, its an interesting story that can set u up differently from others.
Try applying junior accountant job in local SME, no harm trying big 4 as well, anyway u shld focus on gaining number of exp now, once u had 2-3 years, u had a bigger chance in getting the job u wanted.
Good Luck

Thanks! "...u can tell them how u change from screwing up early in education into scoring well on ACCA, its an interesting story that can set u up differently from others." You've made a very good point man! And to think that I was actually a recruitment consultant but I've never thought of this man. Anyway, thanks for your enlightenment and encouragement!!
Should I take another business degree part-time to gain some management skills as well as open up more career opportunities in the future? I should be able to study part-time though while working. I'm just worried that after 3-5 years of experiences, I might not be able to enroll into any of the MBAs courses using OBU's cert. Unless experiences can prevail over qualifications, if not my OBU cert just don't serve much purposes I guess.
Thanks!

Forget SMEs or local corps. Just go for the big 4 accounting firms and get ready to work hard.
all the best!

Be honest.Full A doesn't mean anything.I got friend from china he got really bad results and he can't speak fluently in English and during the interview his performance is sux bt Big Four offer him a letter and he got the opportunity to work at Big Four.
Vice verse my friend who got really good result don't even have the chance enter into Big Four.Big Four recruit people from a lot of factor not because your result is good.
Is ok 24yo without any working experience bt for me is a little bit slow.
