Why the company offer me 2 year contract for my first job?
I apply St Electronic, they offer me 2 year contract
I am fresh grad, so I am not very familiar with this is it normal for a GLC to offer contract role for first job? does it mean they may not have the intention to convert me to full time if they offer me contract role only? |

Traditionally, temp staffs lack the complete benefits enjoyed by perm staffs. And they are often on the chopping block first if the company decides to cut costs. However, these days many temp jobs in reputable / sizable companies enjoy most parts of the benefits as with a perm staff would. Though, perm staffs still have priority / enjoy bigger slice of the cake during bonus allocation and what not... Of course, then comes the question of people taking up temp positions to beef up their CV first.. hey, at this juncture what bargaining chips do you have ,right? different people have different perspective in life.. i recently met one lady who enjoys floating around as a contractor - in her view she likes taking 2-3 months break after every assignment, which typically lasts between 6 - 8 months. so, it's all up to you. it's not rocket science, you can figure it out on your own by just doing some brainstorming.. |
