The Haus on Handy Showflat
 
Haus on Handy is a new project that will be launched soon, possibly around July this year, on an infill site along Handy Road. This project is being built by a pretty reputable developer, City Developments and is a 99 year leasehold project. The main attraction of the Haus on Handy condo being its very central location, right opposite the Doby Ghaut MRT station (which is an interchange station), and beside both Plaza Singapura (3 minutes walk) and Cathay Building.

The Haus on Handy showflat is not located at the actual site, but at the Clemenceau Road area. Further details have also just been released. Such as the unit mix and floor areas, and some artist's impressions.

Basically this project seems more geared towards smaller units. There will only be 188 units here, and the bulk of them appear to be 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom units, and a small percentage being 3 bedders. The biggest units are the 3 bedroom dual key type, only 6 of them, at 980 sq ft.

The artist's impressions for Haus at Handy are nothing to really shout about. But what stands out is possibly the clubhouse. That is a refurbishment of the conserved existing heritage house on the site. Being a conservation building, the facade will be kept pretty similar to its original design, with iron fretwork and lacy filigree work. And fittingly, it will be called the Club Haus.

The other interesting thing about this project is that it actually stretches between Handy Road and Mount Sophia road up the hill. So it has 2 entrances, one from the Handy Road end, and the other from the Mount Sophia end, which is a about 3 storeys higher.

Pricing details will only be released when the Haus on Handy showflat opens for the VIP Preview. But the floor plans will likely come out before then. Analysts were expecting this project to sell at around $2,900 PSF, which could give some idea of the final quantum selling prices. The closest comparison could be to Martin Modern, both being 99 year leasehold projects near Orchard Road, though this project has a slight edge over Martin Modern.
