I don’t see the point of using a VPN to hide your identity, I think governments already know everything about us and have access to our data, and a VPN won’t stop people who want to get information about us. A VPN could help me bypass the torrenting block in my region, but they have mirrors to bypass, like u1337x, so I don't see the point without a direct need to download it.
