Mayfair Modern at Bukit Timah
Latest news is that Mayfair Modern by Oxley is going to launch soon. This is the 2nd half of the Mayfair Collection. The land it sits on was formerly the original Mayfair Gardens, before it was bought over by Oxley Holdings.
Oxley chose to divide the site into two, to launch 2 projects on it comprising the Mayfair Collection. For the first, they re-used the original name. Mayfair Gardens sits on the northern half of the site, while Mayfair Modern occupies the southern part of it.
The names describe the projects well. Mayfair Gardens' design takes its inspiration from Mayfair Gardens in London. Architecturally more towards the historical. While Mayfair Modern Singapore, as the name implies, is on a more modern contemporary theme.
One advantage that Mayfair Gardens enjoys is that it is further in from the main traffic of Dunearn Road, and is slightly bigger, comprising 215 units. Whereas Mayfair Modern has 171 units and is nearer the main road, but because of that, is closer to the King Albert Park MRT station, less than 5 minutes in fact.
The Mayfair Modern showflat will be the same one as for Mayfair Gardens. The floor plans are ready too. Some of layouts are pretty good, but some of the designs are frankly puzzling, to say the least.
If you missed out on a getting a unit at Mayfair Gardens that launched a few weeks ago, you might want to consider signing up to view the Mayfair Modern showflat. Just hop over to the site and register there.
