Aviation Management,
and my friend..to be a LAE, you do not need to have a specialized degree in aviation or aerospace...in fact i think its better to have a pure engineering degree...u r not locked down
whatever knowledge u need to become a LAE will be acquired during your training

I posted that link cos it's offered jointly by caas n Massey..which I think it's better than some aerospace degree offered.
Any engineering degree will do jus fine..
But take note if u r into avionics trade might wanna study for a electrical or electronics degree..
N if uh r into mechanical trade uh might wanna study for a mechanical or mechatronic degree

U can hit 9k plus if u do lots of OT..... No need work 20 plus years, provided got lots of aircraft work to do.....Some get even more, so it all boils down to whether u cherish your free time more or to the work.

In singapore you don't see 9k/mth for an LAE without OT. Only on the 4th - 5th year, you might be seeing 3k/mth including type rating allowance.

Furthermore, Management level does't have OT allowance. Therefor, only the LAEs and Technicians are allow to have OTs claimed.
Good luck for those who have just joined the aviation lines.
