In this industry, you cannot choose job ok...Even if you need to clean the seats or remove any waste tank sensors, you have to do it...Engineers and technicians make no difference.Of course, engineers perform functional tests and carry out inspections as required so most of the time, technicians need to be independent and work without supervision.
What do you mean by real engineer job???

I agree with previous poster, as I can only find a handful of luxury cars in SIAEC carpark. If your LAE is really driving such 200k cars, then they are just show off as I dont think their base salary reaches 200k.
To find luxury cars, go to republic plaza carpark in raffles place. Most bankers earn at least 200k there.

Weather radar operates ...

1)During taxiing into arrival bay, engine thrust push up to taxi aircraft into arrival bay, weather radar is auto 'ON' baby.
2)Mins before pre-dep pilot will switch 'ON' the weather radar and test it and leave it on baby.
3)As one drive/travel from bay to bay in line maint, any idea how many aircraft departing and arriving taxiing into bay? (read point 1 and 2)
4)So many aircraft taking off and landing round the clock at changi airport, weather radar not 'ON' ??
5)Not to mention every now and then reports of weather radar failure/defect which required ground test.
6)And lastly weather radar is omni direction and very very very strong, thats why enable pilot to track the weather in a area way miles ahead of the planes flight path to avoid it if necessary. IT CERTAINLY DOSEN'T WORK POINT AND SHOOT LIKE UR LASER POINTER ... HAHAHAHAHAHAH baby ...

So base on the above few points, base on what u made the statement weather radar do not operates with weight on wheels ...... HAHAHAHA ?????? sorry really can't help laughing ..

Ur technical knowledge is QUESTIONABLE, thus ur comment on us being frank with warning to the newbies which think it is always sunny bright as an LAE to reconsider is to prevent them from snatching our rice bowl is also QUESTIONABLE.

Guys pls set ur own gauge on this person ... cheers

If really have to land myself in hospital, whats the use of having a fully paid class A ward?? Fully protective gear ?? Proper equipment?? Proper training, quote you just an example, during engine change, when u drop an engine, one have to disconnect electrical connectors from the engine strut, the is 'NO', i repeat 'NO' step or equipment for one to access it safely, one have to be a spider man to climb up the engine, there are many more other situations by the way.

Are you sure u have work on the ground before?? Or are you an admin staff or AO?? U really don't seem to know whats really happening, no offence buddy .

For your info, the emergency light at each door and smoke detector in lavatory do gives out radiation... not only weather radar.
