Advice help: SIM RMIT or UB (Comms)?
Hi,
Any grads/students of SIM RMIT or UB Communications out there? Need some advice on your courses as I can't decide between the two. How are the modules like, lecturers, career prospects etc. I'm stuck between SIM's 1) UB: Bachelor of Arts (Communication) 2) RMIT: Bachelor of Communication (Professional Communication) I graduated with a diploma in mass comms last year. I'm actually more keen towards RMIT as it takes only 1 year, but I'm worried for my 'paper worth' once I graduate. RMIT degree takes only 1 year (with advanced standing) while the UB degree will take 3 years. Do employers take this into consideration while interviewing? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks! :) |

to be honest, i dont find see any distinct advantage in either one over the another... since both are private..
just take the faster path and earn that additional 2 years of working experience... that 2 years by then will provide you further opportunities rather than starting on a fresh start... my 2 cents worth... |
actually for the communications industry, a degree isn't essential.
you're better off spending the time getting some real world work experience. or a business degree. |
