Advice Needed - Six Sigma
Hi All,
I am contemplating taking up a Six Sigma course, in a bid to boost my "marketability". Some current description of my job: strategy planning, systems design, performance matrices, KPIs monitoring, and stakeholder engagement etc. The softer skills include culture building, design thinking, change management, and employee engagement etc.
I guess one could summarise my current job as an "internal consultant" to the organisation. I hope to upgrade my skills, hence the decision to study Six Sigma. Through it, I hope to marry qualitative skills with "softer" skills like design thinking. My eventual goal will be to further my career path down the consultative road, specialising in Organisational Development/Business Process Review/Strategy.
Is it worth my time and effort in getting a Six Sigma certification in today's working context? I'm currently 29 years old, working for 4 years since graduation. If so, could any of you shed some light as to where should I be looking for to get my certification? Seeing as there are quite a fair bit of organisations offering the course.
Thanks in advance.
Puff
