I took the job last time because it was the first job that came along and I was from a poor family. I didn't think so much in the past.

Which career is low barrier entry for a career change?
I have 3 options that i am currently thinking - IT security, human resource C&B or finance risk management.
Any constructive feedback is highly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi OP,
I've pivoted my career in my 30s! But your options above are such a huge range and could be in different industries too. Even before you consider which path to consider, my advice would be to actually drill down what are you wanting? Do some work around your values, purpose and what career fulfillment would actually look like to you, and then reverse engineer it. If not you're going to find yourself in the same situation a couple of years later Let me know if you want to chat further on it too!

It really depends on your situation. Maybe you can give us some context - what have you already done to aid the search?

Retirement age raised till 60 plus. Most people do not retire till late 50s at least. Many people reach their peak in career at 40s. You still have so many years left. Go for it.

Hello, if you aren't happy in your job and it doesn't provide you career growth, I don't think you should stick with the job. With your experience you should be able to jump to something better.
Even if it is COVID-19, just take a look around and see if your ideal company is hiring?
It seems you do know what you want.

Stop thinking about how old you are! Go for it, if you believe that changing your career path is what you should do. At 30 you're not old, for crying out loud. There are many people out there who, for one reason or the other, rounded up their secondary school at a late age, and still went on to be successful. That's my one cent.
