CPF asks me to contribute Medisave even though my company makes $0?
Ok, long story short:
1) I registered a company last year even though I already have a full time job. I originally intend to sell t-shirts part-time via the company so I registered it via ACRA as Sole Proprietorship.
2) However, I didn't get around to starting the business and it was just left there, forgotten. Didn't even made a single cent of course.
3) Now CPF today sends me a bunch of forms about contributing a few hundred $$$ to my medisave as they say my annual income is $9000. WTF???? I didn't even make $0.01 via this company, where did the $9000 come from?
Or is this $9000 from my full time day job? But these are 2 different things!
Any self-employed people here facing similar issues?

Hi, actually, I didn't report my annual income as $9000, the company that i was working for reported for me (i think most HR depts in sg does that).
so what now? contact CPF board?

on your individual income tax return, did you do a double reporting?
you should be contacting iras and make the amendments / double checking.

CPF looks at the net trade income in your Iras filing. If you also hold a full time job, your company will submit your employment income which is different from trade income.
Maybe check your Iras notice of assessment to be sure.
