How much of your net worth would you spend on cars?

Suppose your net worth is $3M (including residence) and you have 2 cars that cost $600K total. That is 20% of your net worth.

Ya weird, why using net worth? Car is not even an asset in general right?

The richer you are, the more non-asset luxuries you can afford. If you're not rich, why spend so much non-asset non-essential luxuries like a car? There's always public transport and Grab.

You don't understand that a car is more than transport to some. It is unbeatable convenience and privacy. It is also in my case, a love for driving and a love for cars that makes it a passion that's worth it. I spent 50%. My liquid net worth 200k before car, after car is 100k (car is an expense not an asset so not in net worth).

Cheers.
