Salary adjustments can be adjusted at your grade, but your grade progression cannot be accelerated. Meaning if your skills + competency is assessed to be I, but they offered G due to the wonderfully good deal expected salary, and you accepted it, there's no avenue to ask HR to retroactively readjust your grade, you will have to suck thumb suffer this grade latency in Govtech (or any public agency for that matter) for as long as you stay there.

How many year of exp and which salary? Which grade were you offered? That'll help us assess whether you are behind the "time norms".

Hi Guys, pondering between GovTech and Apple, compensation is about the same except that for apple I'll be getting RSUs and possibly bonus. In terms of Eng culture and projects I prefer GovTech. But in terms of name and global exposure, I prefer Apple.
Which one do you think I should choose for my future prospects as well as growth as a SWE? Would appreciate any input for this.
