Not the OP, but you clearly do not know how IT academia’s job market work..
a postdoctoral in NTU/ NUS gets around 4.5 to 6k as a fresh grad with heavy guidance under a prof which the OP said is equals to an internship. The exponential growth in the years to come are high as that guy became more independent in their research work.
I do have friends working in some GT divisions with PHD and they all started low as a junior grade D or F and climb fast, within 3-4 years to become grade i are not unheard about…
so you think that’s a shortchange, then please continue whine or move to a new job and don be a snowflake.

MDR is not tied to job competency and grade.
In order qualify for MDR, u need to meet ur job competency (this is the pre-requisite)
For this yr, There are no MDR adjustments for grade D-F as the data showed these grade remains competitive. May be next yr have??
Not hard to understand right?

maybe next decade have?? not hard to understand right?

lol everyone that has a different opinion from you is a snowflake - says something about your ego. If you think a fresh grad with PhD and a fresh grad with bachelors should start at the same grade, and be given 0 MDR equally, get your head out of your ass

Lol @ MDR not tied to grade. Isn't that what everyone is complaining here.
And considering they clearly have more plans for competency framework, might as well tie that into MDR as well.
And 1 year is a long time in the tech world. So who knows maybe they have to rework everything again?
Then again as heard, just make your own decision based on annual compensation comparison. The average staying time in GT is 3 years, so make a decision that would further your own career path, instead of some management's KPI.
