Agencies are supposed to be self-sufficient in where possible through the fees that they collect (agencies that act as regulators for example). In cases that they are not, they get funded by the government.

And that is the clue. A statboard like say, National Heritage Board, do that regulate and collect any major fees? It is safe to say that the amount the collect for entrance fees to the museums would barely cover the operating costs.

Given this situation do you think a manager in NHB will get the similar salary range than say MAS or LTA?

be it ministry or statboard, employment is still under govtech (for this discussion). weird that g11 earns a few k more than g12..

Now they have a set new job grades like A,B,C,...,M. Anyone of you know in details? Thanks

What’s the pay ceiling for g11? Does it hit 12k

Benchmark against your last drawn x 10-15%

Then compare that benchmark against your experiences then they will decide how much they offer you reasonably. It is quite a standard process.

Hello, wondering if the above can be verified as true? Also, any idea about the starting salary of fresh grad joining govtech?

jobseeker91 23-01-2019 10:36 PM

Is this the norm now without AWS? Sounds like a deviation from government practices...

Unregistered 24-01-2019 07:53 AM

Any idea what’s like for agencies similar to Govtech? I’m applying for Cyber Security Agency. Do they not have AWS too?

Standard is to change to no AWS, all agencies follows. This includes agencies like ST Engg, do check with your friends in the companies for more info.

Thats very high ceiling for a SM. Does it also means that grade H has a ceiling of 9 to 10k?
My friend recently join as a senior consultant and was told it is equivalent to SM. He was offered 8.5k but i never ask him about his ceiling and grade

As you can see, from I onwards, you are likely to stay in the same grade longer.
