Management think the sales people drive revenue when clients walk into the doors of the bank themselves.

Even with 50k salary, I think the sales will be about the same.

Because JPM only hires the cream of the crop - if they don’t pay well they can’t attract those

Also, there are traders, structurers, etc in global markets as well. The job isn't as easy as you think -- a lot more goes behind just quoting prices to the clients.
