since google supposed to be the uber company to be, any idea how the salaries and benefits look like for their singapore office? also heard they're hiring software engineers in singapore... wondering how that compares with their US-based software engineers

One of the top payers in the market. Try to get yourself an offer first lah... Say until like you are the one choosing whether to join them.

I can't say for google but I've worked part-time with Microsoft before and the benefits are insane. Bonuses and full 100% medical coverage even though I was ONLY a part-timer for 6 months. But please don't expect work-life balance cause there will be none, esp for full timers in top us mncs.

But yeah, as mentioned above, try to even get an offer with them first.

It really depends on what sort of engineer and what experience you have. In general most experienced engineers are paid somewhere between 150-300k depending on your disicipline and actual work experience. Occasionally some of the specialist niche engineers do get paid above 500k.

Google Singapore actually pays pretty shabbily for sales & marketing roles. Essentially, non engineering roles are paid about 3k +... I know this for a fact having interned there but up to you guys if you want to believe or not.

yes we believe. It is well known that Google values engineers much more than other roles.

Hello everyone,

Was wondering if anyone received an email from Google (googleprep) recently for an online test for the strategic sales consultant position? the test concluded last week but i would love to hear your thoughts on the test/position in general. Trawled the entire internet but couldn't find any discussion on it.

Cheers!

In that case, you are thinking wrongly. You didn't read the fine print before taking the test. It clearly mentioned don't discuss it after the test is over.

Interested to know this

For this particular tier of Software Engineer in Google Singapore: "Software Engineer III (L4, most new hires start here, 2+ years of experience)".

What is the total compensation like for e.g. 2 years experience software engineer?

What is the salary comparison for similar tiers of engineers at Mountain View (HQ) and Singapore?

Is the hiring bar as high as the bar in Mountain View? I work at another competitive company and we've found it very hard to find good software engineers, despite paying very well.

Unregistered 08-04-2019 02:27 AM

I interviewed at google SG for software engineering role before. The hiring bar is standardized across offices. (same difficulty as mountain view, be prepared to study) Usually 1 system design, 4 algorithmic interviews per onsite.

The salary offered in SG is much lower than mountain view, but still considered one of the highest in Singapore.
