i've been told it will take HR roughly 1.5 to 2 months after 2nd interview to give an offer. so hopefully will get good news soon!

Here's my timeline

Mid Feb - Call up for informal interview with management minus director (1st Interview)
End Feb - If successful, HR will arrange for formal interview + Presentation on subject matter (2nd Interview) + practical session with director and management team.
Early April - HR will seek permission to contact your referee to do reference check
Mid April - HR call to inform on offer and arrange for pre-employment briefing and medical checkup.

Depending on which course lecturer you applied for. Usually is about 2-3months.

Heard that ITE lecturers like to wear Omega watches.

Why? Coz the "Omega" means "End" in English.

ite now offers contract right? is it 1 or 2 years?

i wonder how much can they pay for someone with 15-20 years experience

It depends on whether the experience is relevant.

Also whether the person has a good grasp of pedagogy.

Hi have you gotten the offer? Should one email the HR if if no news for few weeks?
